Having only recently started as a Club Secretary at a Sports and Social Club, when the Insurance came up for renewal I looked in details at the proposed renewal. Kelly then took some time answering my queries, especially around the re-build costs currently shown. Kelly explained, clearly and without pressure, the potential issues, should this amount be under-estimated on any future insurance claims. She also explained the simple process to get the re-build costs assessed to a standard the insurance companies accept. I agreed that we should have an assessment of the re-build costs, but the renewal date arrived prior to this happening. I asked whether or not a mid-year adjustment would cost further admin costs. Kelly was clear that it wouldn't, but of course the premiums would go up in line with any increase to the re-build costs. When the re-build assessment came through we were almost 50% below what it should have been. Kelly was easy to contact and communicate with, keeping me apprised throughout the renewal and subsequent mid-year adjustment. The rebuild cost assessment was easy to get done. I didn't feel pushed into it. I watched the videos. It was good advice. The price was reasonable. It was money well spent if it means the insurance valuation is now correct and the report I received was fine. We would have been significantly underinsured; the new rebuild value did shock me.
